Emergency Response Team

"...That Others May Live...."

Advanced Rescue

In our Advanced Rescue Training, team members learn many things:

  • Definitions of "Specialist" or "Tech Rescue" & the difference between then
  • The different such examples of these 'Specialist' or 'Tech Rescue' subjects.
  • The minimum requirements and common interoperable subjects
  • How that relates to Operational Deployments
  • How to work within a National or International C3* system
  • The fitness requirements and basic skills required to be on front line teams.

* C3 - Command, Control & Coordination

Our NFPA Tech Rescue training, as mentioned elsewhere, is normally offered at the usual 3 or so levels. After that we have added two to make 5 training / competency levels for our members:

  • Level 1                  Awareness
  • Level 2                  Operations
  • Level 3                  Technician
  • Level 4                  Technician - Advanced
  • Level 5                  Instructor

We subscribe to NFPA 1670 Standard on Operations and Training for Technical Rescue Incidents and NFPA 1006 Standard for Rescue Technician Professional Qualifications.  We also train and provide response teams training in other rescue adjuncts.  Some sample subjects listed below, including NFPA subjects:
