VOLUNTEERS MEMBERS
Please note that we are NOT currently recruiting for Operational Responders and in fact are oversubscribed for 2009. We are VERY grateful to you for your interest and ask you to get in touch to apply when we do start our next recruit intake. Thank you.
Operational Membership Costs:
£60 a year or £5 a month subscription and an Application Fee of £40.
Members receive regular training, certifications, equipment etc., There is a required commitment to join. We expect ALL members to attend training or duties or call outs when they can. Attendance varies depending on position applied for.
RESPONDER
Responding to Disasters & Emergencies [CLICK FOR MORE]
Our organisation relies on trained professional volunteers to ensure adequate responses to emergencies or disasters are prompt. This requires commitment.
Example: International Disaster Response or National Emergencies.
Roles: SAR Techs, Rescuers, Coxes, Rescue Swimmers, etc.
SUPPORT
Support, Fundraising & Events Cover [CLICK FOR MORE]
The invaluable volunteers who help raise monies by doing our oublic duties and events of fundraising and also raising awareness about ERT SAR.
Example: First Aiders for public events or Speakers for local school visits
Roles: Event Cover Unit (ECU), Drivers,
COORDINATOR
Do you possess "Coordination" and "Selling" skills? [CLICK FOR MORE]
Can you advertise our services and training courses and tell people about us? Can you coordinate some of our events and functions? Can you sell our things?
Example: 'Contact' person/s for getting us and arranging our events.
Roles: Managers, Coordinators, Sellers, Marketers, etc.,
TRAINER

We always need trained and trainable people for Community Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Relevant Advice and Community Talks, i.e., Children's schools.
Example: First Aider going into do safety talks in schools.
Roles: Public Speaker, School Visitor & Speaker, Community Speaker
ADVISOR

We need people with skills to talk to the team and our family of volunteers on various relevant subjects. If you are a specialist - please get in touch.
