ERT Search & Rescue

"...That Others May Live...."

Medical First Responder

ERT SAR supports the need for Medical Capacity Building by providing volunteers for the ERT SAR's Medical First Responder section - which works closely with the South Central Ambulance (SCAS) Service to support their CFR or Community First Responder programme - in Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire or Hampshire.

Similar to the CFR, which usually provides for trained volunteers from their homes or occasionally work, ERT SAR MFR members work in pairs and deploy in uniform.

As ERT SAR are used to working with the emergency services, and indeed many ERT SAR members are serving members of the Police, Fire, Ambulance or even Military  Deploying to calls with the ambualnce service - or other emergency services - is a natural fit, good practise and a significant way where ERT SAR can support the calls for service during busy times or major emergencies.
