ERT SEARCH & RESCUE deploy all over the world in response to disasters and emergencies. Most of these deployments are done immediately following a life threatening incident, suffering the Direct Impact of a disaster.
ERT SAR is capable of deploying in several Advanced Rescue deployments as well as non-emergency missions.
The Missions are also conducted for "Indirect Impact", to perform training, capacity building, community development, children's and family development, Resilience, disaster risk reduction and indirect impact follow up and rebuilding.
To do this members must train in several rescue disciplines and becone part of several specialist rescue units or teams.
Training We shall be adding more information but you can click here for our Public Events & Duties or here for Recognised Training.Deployments

The team also responds to local emergencies in the local and UK communities - such as the floods in England in 2007.

The team travels all over the world such as the tsunami in The Indian Ocean (Sri Lanka) and The Pakistan earthquakes.
ERT SAR also has a section dedicated to developing capabilities. This conducts feasibility studies and training to explore the likelihood of adopting new techniques, strategies, equipment and methods to increase effectiveness. Some examples of these developing areas will be able to be found by clicking here.
Events & Duties ERT SAR need’s everyone to get some ‘operational experience’ before committing them to rescues and seeing how they work etc., and we need to fulfil our ERT SAR fundraising commitments as members. We also need to keep current as teams working together when we can. We do this by have member attend a set number of Duties and Events per year. They also complete several exercises and major incidents on a regular basis throughout the year.
